VCA is short for ‘Safety, Health and Environment Checklist Contractors’ (Veiligheids Checklist Aannemers in Dutch). The purpose of this official checklist is to make sure everyone works in a safe manner. Make sure you prepare well for the Dutch safety exam in your first week! We advise you spend half a day up to a day to prepare. A valid safety certificate is required for each project.
On this page you can download a studybook in your own language. We also have glossaries in multiple languages which you can use to study. Please use them well and do a test-examination!
You can use our studybooks available in different languages. The exam is available in all languages except Bulgarian. If Bulgarian is your native language you must take the exam in your second language. The following glossary of important words can therefore be useful if you choose to take the test in English. The glossary states the words in English and gives you the explanation of the word.
You can also take a look at the following glossaries. In these glossaries you will find VCA-related vocabulary with the Dutch translation beside them. This can help you with your understanding of the VCA material and the conversations that might take place in the workplace.
